THE HOME IS CENTERED
on a two-story great room that houses the kitchen, dining and family room where informal gatherings can occur with ease and frequency. Immediately apparent upon walking into the entry, the great room expands in all directions greeting visitors with a stunning view to the lake.
DOUBLE-SIDED TWO STORY STONE FIREPLACE
Anchoring one end of the great room is a stunning double-sided two story stone fireplace separating the library from the great room. Providing the ultimate in indoor/outdoor living the entire great room wall opens via a ten panel nana door so that the entire space can be opened to the patio terrace and pool beyond.
REFUGE BUILT IN
Just off the great room, the Master Suite provides a refuge for the parents to escape the hectic schedule of the family. A private balcony offers a calming spot for quiet contemplation or a shared conversation over a cup of coffee.
A spacious Master Bath includes all the special features a contemporary custom home offers…tiled walk-in shower, vessel styled vanities and a sculptural built-in tub niche.
Separate his and her closets complete the luxurious aspects of the master suite. Bedrooms are located on a mezzanine above the great room providing views and quick access for the family to gather together.
CONTEMPORARY AND RELAXING
comfort is integrated right into this new waterfront home designed by Scott Hommas for a growing family. When initially visiting the site and discussing the project, Scott and the clients discovered that the water views and access to the lake became the highest priority. Initially conceiving a warm contemporary home, Scott and the Clients soon landed on a simple palette of wood and stone to shape into the open floor plan and high ceilinged spaces of the home.
FAMILY NEEDS TO BE THE HEART OF THE HOME
Likewise, the great room is crafted to include all of the accouterments a family needs to be the heart of the home: family breakfast bar, functional and open kitchen with work areas well organized for easy meal prep and clean up, comfortable sitting areas, workspaces for homework and household management and, of course, wall to wall glass open to the views over the water.

The home is centered
The oversized three car garage offers plenty of storage for the equipment and toys necessary for this active family’s lifestyle.
Finally, both the pool and spa are clearly visible and accessible just off the main terrace from the great room. A key feature to the design, providing easy access to the pool and beach were designed into the terraces and site plan for the project.
